Though the Hide function is no longer restoring Google Pay operation, which was the number 2 reason to getting Magisk working again. I just am thankful the other method worked. My repeated attempts and technical description should tell you investigating my claim is warranted. And trying to fastboot flash boot boot.img with that file, waiting plenty of time, and having it not succeed, and then testing that the naming of that file doesn't matter when (successfully) restoring it, shows that my flashing procedure is correct. Having that same file renamed by the Magisk app show it was correctly patched. Would you like me to send the command line of me installing from the boot.img file to prove to you it doesnt work? Successfully restoring it, when unmatched versions dont work, shows that I'm using the correct file to patch. This seems like new restrictions from Google, and seems to only affect OnePlus phones. I have the latest version of Magisk app, but don't see the same menu option to patch a boot.img file or I would try that. Over several months have found AppOps and IceBox that uses Shizuku for permissions and disabling, but still am lacking backup with SwiftBackup because of no root. Luckily reflashing the boot.img back restored my daily driver. Now it just hangs on the boot logo after rebooting. I should say I have done this exact process for 11.2 and 11.1 before that worked. This isnt working now though an after several days of web searches, haven't found resolution, some links below.
#Oneplus 5 fastboot devices not showing install
I have flashed recoveries many times, and now use the 'fastboot boot' command with a twrp*.img file and then install magisk.zip or twrp.zip or whatever. I'm trying to reinstall Magisk via TWRP after flashing an OS update from Tmobile to Android 11.4. The Canary release is no longer available on.

Magisk keeps installing 23000 when clicking download latest in the app.
